Electronic Prescription Service and Repeat Prescriptions
Managing repeat prescriptions has become simpler with the electronic prescription service (EPS). Each time you order your repeat prescription, it’s sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy. This means you don’t need to collect the prescription from your GP surgery and drop it off at the pharmacy, saving you time and hassle.
How Does the Service Work?
If you take medication that needs to be prescribed and dispensed regularly, simply follow these steps:
- Nominate a Pharmacy: if you would like us to dispense your repeat prescriptions then nominate us for the electronic prescription service, if you haven’t done so already, so your GP can send your prescriptions directly there. You can nominate us by letting our pharmacy team know or ask your GP.
- Order Your Prescription: Order your repeat prescriptions from your GP surgery when they are due.
- Prescription Sent Electronically: Once the prescriptions are issued, they're sent electronically to the pharmacy.
- Collect Your Medication: The pharmacy team will prepare your prescription for you to collect.
